Bonfiyah

A Limitless alternative for in-person conversations.

If you used Limitless to keep hold of what was said in your conversations, and you want something that runs on the phone you already carry, here is how Bonfiyah works and where it is different.

Where Limitless stands.

Limitless made a wearable Pendant and an app for recording and recalling the conversations in your day. In December 2025, Meta acquired Limitless. What that means for the Pendant and the Limitless app today is for Limitless to say, so check its own announcements for where things stand.

Either way, the need doesn't go away: the important conversations happen in rooms, and remembering exactly who said what is hard.

How Bonfiyah works.

Records your in-person meetings. Remembers who said what. That is the whole idea.

  • No hardware. Bonfiyah is one app on iPhone, iPad and Mac. Put the phone on the table and tap Record. Bluetooth and USB-C microphones and AirPods work too.
  • You start each recording. Bonfiyah isn't something you wear through the day. It records the meetings you choose to record, for as long as you leave it running.
  • Names, not "Speaker 1". Bonfiyah transcribes each recording and separates the voices. Name a voice once, and on Pro Bonfiyah recognizes that person in your later meetings, from the sound of their voice rather than the words.
  • Summaries and search. On Pro, every recording gets an AI summary, and you can search all your meetings by what was said or by who said it.
  • Across meetings. Pro AI tracks what people promised, flags when someone's account of something changes from one meeting to the next, and gives you a brief before you meet someone again.

Consent and privacy.

When you sign up and accept the Terms, you agree to get the consent the law requires from the people you record, and Bonfiyah keeps track of each person's consent on every plan. Recordings go to the cloud to be transcribed: the transcript is deleted from the transcription provider as soon as it is made, the original audio is deleted from Bonfiyah's servers within seven days, and transcripts are never used to train AI. Your account uses Sign in with Apple, and you can export or delete everything whenever you want. Details are in the privacy commitments.

What Bonfiyah doesn't do.

It is an Apple app only: no Android app, no Windows app, no web app. It doesn't join video calls as a bot. And it isn't a wearable, so if what you want is a device that records your whole day on its own, Bonfiyah is a different kind of tool.

Price.

New accounts get 14 days of Pro and Pro AI, no card needed. The Free plan records 120 minutes a month on one device. Pro is $14.99 a month; Pro AI is $19.99 a month. Compare the plans.

Questions.

Is Bonfiyah a wearable?

No. Bonfiyah is an app for iPhone, iPad and Mac. It records through the device's microphone, or through a Bluetooth or USB-C microphone or AirPods. There is nothing extra to buy or wear.

Does Bonfiyah record all day?

It records when you tap Record, for as long as you leave it running. Recording has no cap on Pro and Pro AI; the Free plan includes 120 minutes a month.

Can I bring recordings over from another app?

If you have the audio files, yes. Import them into Bonfiyah and each one is transcribed, with the speakers identified by voice, like a new recording; on Pro it also gets an AI summary.

Does Bonfiyah work on Android or the web?

No. Bonfiyah is an Apple app: one app on iPhone, iPad and Mac. There is no Android app and no web app.
