Bonfiyah

Comparison

Bonfiyah vs Fellow.

Fellow is a team meeting-management platform — collaborative agendas, AI meeting notes, a recorder bot, integrations, sold per seat. Bonfiyah is a personal, Apple-only memory layer (iPhone, iPad & Mac) for the conversations that happen in the room, with cross-recording reasoning and structured Attorney-Client OR Doctor-Patient Privilege markings. Different jobs — and Bonfiyah is the rare one that imports the other’s history for you.

The short version

If your problem is running better team meetings — shared agendas, action items assigned across a team, notes everyone can edit in a browser — Fellow is a strong, mature product built for exactly that. It’s a team workflow tool, priced per seat, and it does that job well.

If your problem is remembering your own spoken life — the client coffee, the doctor’s appointment, the negotiation, the dinner where a promise got made — that happens in person, off the meeting grid, and it’s personal. Bonfiyah’s iPhone capture is the entire design center: Live Activity, Dynamic Island, lock-screen control, all because the recording is happening in the room.

If you want cross-recording memory — Promise Tracker across your last six meetings, Project Context briefings, Contradictions flagging conflicting statements weeks apart, Team Dynamics, People Memory — Fellow’s model is per-meeting and per-team. Bonfiyah’s Pro AI tier (twenty cross-recording surfaces) is built around what only makes sense when you have months of your own recordings to reason across.

If you’re leaving Fellow — you don’t have to export anything by hand. Bonfiyah’s in-app importer connects to your Fellow workspace and brings your meetings’ transcripts and notes over as Stories automatically, with voice-based speaker identity. It’s the only migration on the site that’s fully automated.

Switching · automated importer

Leaving Fellow? Bonfiyah imports your history for you.

Fellow is the rare case where you don’t export anything by hand. In Bonfiyah, open Settings → Import from Fellow, connect your Fellow workspace, and pick the meetings you want — Bonfiyah pulls their transcripts and AI notes straight in. Each becomes a Story with voice-based speaker identification and an AI summary, synced across iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

The picker remembers what you’ve already brought over, so you can come back later and grab only the new meetings. Transcripts and notes import with any admin key; importing the original audio uses your Fellow workspace-owner key. Only have the audio, or prefer the universal route? Export a recording and use Import audio — same pipeline, no lock-in.

The honest version

Fellow is a genuinely good team meeting platform. If your team lives in scheduled meetings and needs shared agendas, assigned action items, and notes everyone can edit in a browser, Fellow is built for exactly that — and the per-seat team model fits an org that wants everyone on the same page.

But Fellow and Bonfiyah are answering different questions. Fellow asks “how does our team run this meeting better?” Bonfiyah asks “what’s been happening across every conversation I’ve had — and who said what?”

That second question is personal, and a lot of it happens off the meeting grid: the appointment, the hallway, the coffee, the dinner. Bonfiyah was built in-person-first because the conversations that matter most often aren’t on a calendar. The iPhone is the recorder you already have on you; the cross-recording layer — Promise Tracker, Contradictions, Project Context, People Memory — is memory, not meeting management.

There’s also a privacy difference worth naming. Bonfiyah’s policy is that your conversations are never trained on, audio is auto-deleted within seven days, speakers are identified by voice and never by the words, and consent and privilege markings are built in on every tier. Fellow is a team SaaS with its own data handling; if the recordings you care about are private and personal, that distinction matters.

And if you’re already on Fellow and just want out without losing your history — that’s the easiest move on this page. The importer does it for you.
