Pro feature · v3.0
Email Intelligence.
Your emails ARE the app, just stretched across inboxes.
Every emailed AI Summary, Speaker Insights, Compatibility scorecard, Team Dynamics analysis, or PDF export now carries tappable section headings. Tap "Decisions", "Action Items", or any speaker's name in your inbox — Bonfiyah opens and scrolls directly to that section of the recording.
Email is where you actually live.
You send yourself the meeting summary. You forward the speaker profile to your colleague. The PDF lands in someone's inbox. They read it on their phone. They don't open the app.
Until now, that was the end of the trail. The email was the artefact. If you wanted to hear the actual moment a decision was made, you had to switch apps, find the recording, scrub to the timestamp, and play.
Email Intelligence collapses the round trip. Every section heading in every Bonfiyah email is a deep link into the moment in the recording that produced that section. You read in your inbox; you tap; you're inside Bonfiyah, scrolled to the right second.

Watch items
Cutover-weekend anxiety came up three times. Priya: "if Saturday goes sideways, Monday is unrecoverable."
Tappable: every orange underline opens Bonfiyah at that exact moment. Speaker names open the speaker's profile. Decision lines open the recording at the timestamp shown.
Same format on iPhone Mail, Gmail web, Outlook, Apple Watch Mail, Spark, HEY — anywhere a hyperlink works.
How the deep links work.
- 1
Every section is anchored to a recording moment.
When the AI Summary, Speaker Insights, or Team Dynamics export is generated, every section heading carries a structured anchor: the recording UUID, the section type (decisions, actions, watch items, etc.), and where applicable a precise timestamp. Speakers carry their library UUID. The anchors are part of the export's data model, not a post-hoc decoration.
- 2
The email renders them as universal links.
Each anchor is rendered as a https://bonfiyah.com/open?… universal link, styled as an orange underlined hyperlink. On any device with Bonfiyah installed, the URL is intercepted by the OS and routed to the app. On any device without Bonfiyah installed, the same URL opens a public web page describing the recording and offering install — no broken links, ever.
- 3
The app receives the URL and resolves it.
Bonfiyah opens, parses the anchor, locates the recording in your library, and scrolls the relevant view to the right section — playback view at the right timestamp, Speaker Insights at the right speaker, Team Dynamics at the right placement. If the recording exists on this device, you're there in under a second. If it lives only on iCloud, the relevant chunk is fetched first and the seek is queued.
- 4
The same anchors work on the PDF.
PDF exports carry the same anchor scheme. On iPhone, iPad, and Mac, tapping a section heading in the PDF opens Bonfiyah the same way. On other platforms, the URL still resolves to the public web view. The PDF is not a dumb dead document; it is a navigable interface into the underlying recording.
Why this matters more than it looks like it should.
Most apps treat email as a dead format. The summary you forward is the summary; if you wanted the source material, you'd have stayed in the app. Bonfiyah treats email as a render surface.
The mental model that makes this make sense is: your inboxes already contain Bonfiyah's UI. Every meeting summary in Mail.app is a remote control for that recording. Every speaker name in a forwarded thread is a profile link. Your colleague who got the PDF can tap into the moment the decision was made without ever installing Bonfiyah — they'll see a clean web view that explains exactly what they're looking at.
Other apps' integration story is about exporting data out. Bonfiyah's integration story is that the data is already wherever you read your email — and the deep link comes back into the app the moment you decide to engage.
Privacy
What goes through the email and what doesn't.
The email contains the rendered text — summary, action items, watch items, speaker names. It does not contain the raw transcript, the audio, or any private metadata beyond what you'd see in the in-app summary.
The deep links carry the recording UUID and the anchor type, not the recording's contents. Resolving a link requires the destination device to have authorized access to your iCloud library — links sent to a stranger's inbox will resolve to the public web view, which shows the title and a generic install prompt and nothing else.
If you forward a Bonfiyah email to a colleague who is not on your iCloud, they read the email exactly as you'd want — full summary text, no playback access, no surprising leaks.
FAQ
Does this require Pro AI?
No. Email Intelligence is on every emailed export at every tier. It's an output-layer feature, not an inference feature.
What email clients does this work in?
Anywhere hyperlinks render: iPhone Mail, iPad Mail, Mac Mail, Gmail web and mobile, Outlook web and mobile, Spark, HEY, Apple Watch Mail. The links degrade gracefully — if the recipient doesn't have Bonfiyah, they see the public web view instead of an error.
Can I disable the deep links if I want a plain email?
Yes. The export sheet has a "plain text only" toggle that strips the anchors and renders the email as ordinary prose. We default to deep-linked because that's where the value is.
Are the links permanent?
As permanent as the underlying recording. Delete a recording and its links resolve to a "removed by owner" page on the public web view — no broken-error page, but also no leaked content. Move a recording between projects and the links follow it.
Does Bonfiyah read my email to do this?
No. Bonfiyah does not have, request, or want access to your inbox. Email Intelligence is purely about how Bonfiyah's outgoing exports are formatted. We have no Mail integration, no Gmail OAuth, no inbox scanning. The email lives in your client; we just write better hyperlinks.

We'll send you the actual sample email above so you can tap a link and see the experience. The link will open a public web view (you don't need Bonfiyah installed to see how it works).
