Comparison
Bonfiyah vs Superwhisper.
These are different tools. We rank for the same searches because both involve transcription, but the use cases barely overlap. Here is the short version, so you can choose correctly without reading further.
The short version
Superwhisper is a voice-to-text dictation tool. You hold a hotkey, speak, your words appear in whatever text field has focus. It is excellent at this. If you want to dictate emails, code comments, and Slack messages faster than typing, install Superwhisper. We genuinely recommend it.
Bonfiyah is a conversation memory layer. Two or more people are talking, you record it (with consent), and Bonfiyah produces transcripts, speaker IDs, summaries, action items, and cross-recording memory features over time. It is not a dictation tool and would be very awkward as one.
If you want both, install both. They do not compete and they don't try to. Superwhisper for dictation; Bonfiyah for the meetings, intakes, and conversations you'd otherwise lose.

If you're choosing between them, you don't have to.
This page exists because both apps rank on "iOS transcription" and "Mac transcription" searches, and we want to disambiguate them honestly. They are not competitors. We have happily used Superwhisper for dictation while building Bonfiyah; the team behind it has done excellent work.
If you came here looking for a tool to dictate your emails — go install Superwhisper. If you came here looking for a tool to remember what was said in your meetings, intakes, family dinners, and client calls across months — install Bonfiyah. If you want both, install both. The categories don't overlap enough to need a winner.
